The wedding package hire** charges include the Ballroom, Watts Room, Toad Hall and kitchen. There are other facilities that clients may wish to use that are listed here.
Seating Capacity for the Ballroom:
The capacity of the room is dependent upon layout. However, as a guide we have outlined below different capacities based on different layouts.
Sit-down meal — round tables of 10: Approx 180
Buffet reception with occasional tables: Approx 250
Theatre style for ceremony: Maximum 300
Hire Charges:
Fee for Civil Marriage or Civil Partnership ceremony £150*
Hire of Ballroom and all facilities from 9am until
midnight £650**
For clients wishing take both the wedding package at £650 and the Civil Marriage or Civil Partnership ceremony and all they include, the price is £700 plus any facilities, alcohol licence fee damage deposits etc.
To be covered under the Hall's own licence to sell alcohol the fee is £20.
*(Ceremonies without a reception to follow have the use of the Ballroom, Toad Hall, Watts Room and the kitchen for a period of 3 hours. Extra hours are charged at £50 per hour.)
**(This wedding package for £650 includes
1. Use of Toad Hall for deliveries on the afternoon of the day before the wedding, and for storage of items to be collected on the morning of the first working day after the wedding.
2. All rooms at Charlton Down Village Hall all day on the Saturday (or main wedding day) from 8.00am - 12.00 midnight.
3. Two hours on the Sunday morning to finish clearing up and restoring the premises to the original state.)
Use of the Hall's own alcohol licence to serve and charge for alcoholic beverages is charged at £20.
Where alcohol is present at an event a Damage deposit of £150 is charged which is returnable if there is no damage.
